June 3-5, 2026, Seoul, Korea

It is with great honor and pleasure that I welcome you to the 11th Congress of the International Human Microbiome Consortium (IHMC 2026 SEOUL), taking place from June 3 to June 5, 2026, in Seoul, Korea. As Chair of IHMC 2026 SEOUL, I am thrilled to invite you to this premier global gathering of experts, researchers, and industry leaders in the field of microbiome science

Since its inception in 2008, IHMC has played a pivotal role in advancing human microbiome research by fostering collaboration among scientists across academia, industry, and clinical practice. Under the theme “Interdisciplinary Horizons in Microbiome Connections,” IHMC 2026 will serve as a dynamic platform to explore the latest breakthroughs, cutting-edge technologies, and transformative applications across various microbiome-related disciplines

This congress will feature an exceptional scientific program, including three plenary lectures and 27 symposia, covering diverse topics such as microbiome therapeutics, precision medicine and nutrition, synthetic biology, and host-microbiome interactions. We are honored to welcome distinguished plenary speakers, including Prof. Ramnik J. Xavier (USA), Prof. Ruth E. Ley (Germany), and Prof. Eran Segal (Israel). They will share their groundbreaking insights into the future of microbiome science

Seoul, a vibrant metropolis where tradition meets innovation, provides an ideal setting for this exciting exchange of knowledge. I encourage you to seize this opportunity not only to participate in stimulating discussions but also to immerse yourself in the rich culture and warm hospitality that Korea offers

I extend my sincere gratitude to the IHMC 2026 SEOUL Organizing Committee, the Microbiological Society of Korea, and all our partners for their dedication and efforts in making this congress a success.
